Managing household expenses can be challenging, especially when energy costs fluctuate throughout the year. Coosa Valley Propane’s Budget Billing program is designed to make propane expenses more predictable by spreading costs evenly across 12 months.

Budget Billing helps customers avoid large seasonal spikes in propane bills by basing monthly payments on annual usage. Payments are calculated using a customer’s estimated yearly gallon usage multiplied by the average cost per gallon, then divided into 12 equal monthly payments.

By enrolling, customers can better plan their household budgets while still receiving the same reliable propane service. Instead of paying higher bills during colder months when propane use increases, customers pay a consistent amount each month.

“Budget billing gives our customers peace of mind,” said Teresa Johnson, CVP customer service representative. “They know what their payment will be each month, which makes it much easier to plan ahead and avoid surprises during the winter.”

The program is particularly helpful for families on fixed incomes or anyone looking for greater financial stability throughout the year. Budget Billing does not change how much propane a customer uses or receives; it simply changes how payments are structured.

Enrollment is open now, and customers must enroll and make their first payment by April 30 to participate in the upcoming budget year.
